National Bankshares, Inc. (NBI) is a Virginia-based financial holding company organized in 1986, operating primarily through its wholly-owned subsidiary The National Bank of Blacksburg (NBB). NBB offers retail and commercial banking services including loans, deposits, trust and wealth management, and debit/credit cards through 28 banking locations across southwest, western and central Virginia. NBI also owns National Bankshares Financial Services, Inc. (NBFS), which provides non-deposit investment and insurance products.
